Brother has a full range of multifunction machines including some that will cope with A3 paper. The MFC-J6710 is just such a model and it has an automatic document feeder that will also fit A3 size paper. There is a Pictbridge function and memory card readers so you can print either from a camera or a card. At the front of the machine there is easy access to the print engine which uses Brother MFC-J6710 ink. Installing the Brother MFC-J6710 ink cartridges is an easy operation and the units slide easily behind the right of the paper trays.

The print speeds that Brother quotes are unrealistic and the real speeds are 9 pages per minute for a 20 page document with duplex figures being 3.8 sides per minute. A3 prints need longer drying time and this prevent a speedier process. Brother MFC-J6710 printer ink cartridges give clean black text but colours are a little on the pale side. You can use Brother MFC-J6710 compatible inks and get similar results. Nevertheless, the printer is good value for money as it has three different paper sources and an easy set up for the wireless connection. It would be a good choice for a small business.
