This printer is very basic but is also low priced. Unfortunately, the company has prevented high capacity Canon iP1600 ink cartridges from being used. These would have significantly reduced printing costs, a consideration which is high on most people's agendas. There is a 100 page input tray but, again, no tray to catch the resulting prints. This is fine if the model is on a desk but no good if you want to put the machine on a shelf. Canon iP1600 ink cartridges combine with a built in print head to deliver reasonable quality text prints but the quality of photographic prints is fairly low. Canon iP1600 printer cartridges can be obtained from our website at low prices and we deliver every day of the working week. The ink creates very decent text documents and will print at speeds of 9 pages per minute. When printing on plain paper, it produces crisp sharp results.
