Canon Pixma iP1900 - A Low Cost InkJet printer
A printer like the iP1900 will turn out plain text documents and colour graphics as well as reasonable colour photographic prints. The cost is very low and you can buy one of these models for around £35. Canon iP1900 ink cartridges are sold in both black and colour and deliver very decent results. Like other low cost Canon printers this one does not have an output tray and there are just two control buttons making it very simple to operate. The two Canon iP1900 ink cartridges fit into a head carrier and these must be aligned before use. This is accomplished by printing out a test paper and then feeding in offset figures to correct the feed.
Using Canon iP1900 Printer Cartridges
The printer has no facility for printing directly from discs but it will print disc labels. The model is not fast but you can get 13 pages per minute in mono and 7.7 pages per minute in colour which is very respectable. There is little difference between best quality mode and standard and the print quality is very good with clean sharp edges. Canon has allowed for the fact that people prefer printers that accommodate high capacity cartridges and this makes the machine cheaper to run.
