An Affordable Photo printer - The Canon Pixma iP6210D
The 'D' in the name stands for direct printing and if you want a cheap photo printer this one is well worth looking at. The model has memory card slots and although there is no LCD display screen, you can use the menu to print off thumbnails before selecting which images to print. There are six individual colour Canon iP6210D inks. However, the Pixma iP6210D is not impressive when making prints on plain paper and is best kept for photo prints. The Canon iP6210D ink cartridges deliver accurate colours with very little grain on the resulting glossy photo prints. The six inks are held in two 3 compartment cartridges and it is not possible to replace one with plain black so if you are printing documents, the black runs out very quickly (after 215 copies). This is why the printer is best kept for photographic projects.
