The Canon Pixma MP495 - A Good Value All-In-One
The features of the latest all-in-one printers continue to improve. Canon has included wireless connectivity in the MP495 but the company has left out the PictBridge support and memory card slots. This smart looking machine is in a high gloss finish which is good looking but shows up fingerprints very easily. There is a rear 100 sheet paper feed and fold down output tray at the front. Also included are indicators for paper jams, ink levels and types of paper. The usual twin cartridge system applies with Canon MP495 ink in black and tri-colour. The Canon MP495 ink cartridges are easy to fit into place when you lift up the scanner lid.
Speed Performance And Running Costs
The best speeds to be achieved are 6.9 ppm for both black and white and colour. Canon MP495 printer cartridges do produce well defined quality images with good gradations in colour and clean lines. Consumable costs can be a tad expensive but these can be lowered by using Canon MP495 compatible ink cartridges instead of the Canon MP5495 printer ink. If you prefer wireless to the normal memory card slots and PictBridge, this is a good buy.
