Prints speeds are up to 10ppm in colour and 12ppm in monochrome, this is rather low but suitable for a smaller office that does not require as much printing. The wide range of media support allows for the Brother MFC-J870DW all in one to print directly from media cards and digital cameras. The Brother MFC-J870DW is designed for small offices, though light it could be considered bulky in a small office or household, but can be easily transported due to its light weight. For a rapidly growing office the Brother MFC-J870DW would not be suitable as it lacks expandability to support one. Finally the fax modem is outdated at a rather slow 14.4kbps compared to other all in ones and new fax machines.
